In this webinar, Mindset Knowledge Forum Technical Panelist Dan McCaffrey discusses what is, and is not known about how well value-added measures level the playing field for teachers by controlling for student characteristics. He shares evidence from recent empirical explorations, addresses outstanding questions, and the challenges to answering them with currently available empirical data. He fields questions on the implications of these findings for teacher evaluations and actions that may be based on them.
